I think i have Cystitis but am not sure because the symptoms are related to those of Chlamydia.
I have pain and discomfort when urinating and often feel as though i need to urinate even when its only a tiny bit, I have had a bit of pain in my lower stomach and this morning i have been bleeding 18 days give or take before my due period. This has been happening since Saturday but the bleeding started today.
I haven’t yet had sex but have had contact with a man ‘down there’ through ‘fingering.’
Please help me.

Hi well sounds like u have Cystitis and whilst Chlamydia has similar symptoms check out this website

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cystitis

Chlamydia Facts
Chlamydia can be transmitted during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Chlamydia can also be passed from an infected mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth.

Any sexually active person can be infected with chlamydia. The greater the number of sex partners, the greater the risk of infection. Because the cervix (opening to the uterus) of teenage girls and young women is not fully matured and is probably more susceptible to infection, they are at particularly high risk for infection if sexually active. Since chlamydia can be transmitted by oral or anal sex, men who have sex with men are also at risk for chlamydial infection.

In women, the bacteria initially infect the cervix and the urethra (urine canal). Women who have symptoms might have an abnormal vaginal discharge or a burning sensation when urinating. When the infection spreads from the cervix to the fallopian tubes (tubes that carry fertilized eggs from the ovaries to the uterus), some women still have no signs or symptoms; others have lower abdominal pain, low back pain, nausea, fever, pain during intercourse, or bleeding between menstrual periods. Chlamydial infection of the cervix can spread to the rectum.

Chlamydia is known as a "silent" disease because about three quarters of infected women and about half of infected men have no symptoms. If symptoms do occur, they usually appear within 1 to 3 weeks after exposure.

Men or women who have receptive anal intercourse may acquire chlamydial infection in the rectum, which can cause rectal pain, discharge, or bleeding. Chlamydia can also be found in the throats of women and men having oral sex with an infected partner.

If untreated, chlamydial infections can progress to serious reproductive and other health problems with both short-term and long-term consequences. Like the disease itself, the damage that chlamydia causes is often "silent."

In women, untreated infection can spread into the uterus or fallopian tubes and cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). This happens in up to 40 percent of women with untreated chlamydia. PID can cause permanent damage to the fallopian tubes, uterus, and surrounding tissues. The damage can lead to chronic pelvic pain, infertility, and potentially fatal ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside the uterus). Women infected with chlamydia are up to five times more likely to become infected with HIV, if exposed

Chlamydia can be easily treated and cured with antibiotics. A single dose of azithromycin or a week of doxycycline (twice daily) are the most commonly used treatments. HIV-positive persons with chlamydia should receive the same treatment as those who are HIV negative.

Hope this answers your question Cheers ♥

My boyfriend and I have lived together for a year. We met when we moved into the same apartment- so the entire time we’ve known each other, we’ve also lived together.
For the last several months I have had little to no desire to have sex with him. Meanwhile, he wants to have sex ALL the time. If I say no, then he will masturbate, and sometimes force me to watch or touch myself- – not in an abusive way- just in an annoying way- like in the morning when I’m trying to sleep. It’s irritating and grosses me out.
We both lead very stressful lives in an urban environment, and this lifestyle exhausts me. Every time he comes onto me, I just get exhausted or start thinking about all of the chores I should be doing instead of having sex. I was also dealing with chronic cystitis for the last 2 years, so every time I think about sex in general I associate it with illness, anxiety and pain. When I try to talk to him about maybe taking a break for a while and why I need to, he jumps to the conclusion that I’m not attracted to him. We are both athletic and attractive people- so that’s not true. Whenever I do feel like having sex, (or just feel like giving into his advances so that he will get off my back- literally), he says, "Finally!" or "Well, its been a while!". In reality it may have been 4 days maximum. When he says things like that it completely turns me off.
I’m beginning to feel like my issue with sex is ruining my relationship. I saw that he was live video chatting with online whores, and I couldn’t help but be grossed out and disappointed in both of us… I don’t know what to do to make myself more… horny for him! Or to make him less horny!
I know many men out there are going to say, "Yes! You must have sex with your man! Of course you are not fulfilling his needs if you deny him for 4 days!" But please, unless you can justify that as an answer, don’t even bother replying.
Your answers are all great. He is currently out of town, but when he comes back I am definitely going to talk to him. To be honest I do think that its perverted that he’s been video chatting with these women- and its hurting me because i feel like all he wants is empty sex. Sex is a near religious experience for me, and I don’t even understand how he could get a thrill out of these prostitutes. I feel guilty because I am attracted to other men, and have very sexual thoughts about them. But they are all lofty and itellectual and really have something going for them. Weve been having issues like bills and our sick dog, and his lack of responsibility in regards to money management has come up as the culprit many times. The days he has off he just parks himself in front of the t.v., eats junk food, doesn’t brush his teeth, but still expects me to be turned on by him because i love him. He is a quality guy, but I find i love him more like a brother than a lover.

The only thing that you can do is to talk with him about it. If he does love you, he will understand and make some some promises. And do tell him to stop making relarks like "finally" or whatever. If he still doesnt understand, it probably means that he doesnt care about you and that he’s with you only for the sex….

Every time I have sex I end up in agony for the next few days and off work with cystitis. Abstinence is completely out of the question (!) and i have tried cranberry juice, warm baths, going to the toilet after, sachets of horrible cystitis relief! Does anyone have any tips, if there’s any natural remedy i can try or something?! i can’t go through this every time!!!! Can it be passed on and if so does it take longer for men to have symptoms? Also does drinking alcohol before contribute as i know it makes symptoms worse after, but what about before? Thank you so much! x

Well do you go to the doctor and get antibiotics? If not, then you need to. If you don’t then the infection can keep coming back. If you are, then you need to be referred to a urologist.

A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that involved the kidneys, ureters, bladder, or urethra. These are all body parts in which urine passes through before exiting the body. Any or all of these parts can become infected, and the rule is that the farther up the urinary tract the infection is, the worse it is considered.

In your body the upper urinary tract is made up of the kidneys and the ureters. Infections of the upper urinary tract usually affect the kidneys and are referred to as pyelonephritis. Lower urinary tract is composed up of the bladder and urethra. Infection of the lower urinary tract that affects the urethra is known as urethritis and the bladder infection is referred to as cystitis.

Simple infections that occur in a healthy urinary tract do not usually spread to other areas of the body and can be treated easily. Those who have complications that are connected to a UTI can experience infection caused by anatomic abnormalities, spread to other areas of the body, or are resistant to the antibiotics available are more challenging to treat.

UTIS are quite common in America, accounting for more than seven million medical office and hospital visits each year. UTI is more common for adults but can affect about two percent of children. If your child does get a UTI they are treated as more serious than an adult’s so seek medical attention as soon as possible if you think your child may have one.

It is good to know that children who have bedwetting problems are most likely to develop a UTI. When it comes to men and women under the age of fifty women are much more likely to develop a UTI. If your son develops a UTI it is likely going to be more serious than a girl’s. It has been estimated that bout forty percent of women and twelve percent of men have experienced a UTI at some point in their life.

In a normal healthy body urine is sterile. When an infection occurs it is caused by bacteria that got into the urine and started to grow. The infection will generally start at the opening of the urethra and begins its upward journey through your urinary tract infecting everything it comes in contract with.

The most common cause of UTIS is Escherichia Coli (E coli) which is bacteria that usually lives in the colon. E coli make up for about ninety percent of uncomplicated infections. The bacteria can move from the anus area to the opening of the urethra due to poor hygiene or sexual intercourse. The emptying of the bladder is how you flush out these bacteria.

Does any one actually agree with them? i was bored so i did some thinking, and some research, there trying to ban the use of fish as a meal, and change the name of Fish to "sea Kittens", and there trying to stop the use of fur, lets think here, if our great ancestors never used fur, theyd be frozen, and thered be no us, no humans at all today. and Fish, contains so many health benefits that cant be found in other foods
" LONDON, England (CNN) — Healthy diets almost always contain fish, a protein food with fewer calories than other meat sources. It's also one of nature's most versatile foods. As well as different species of fish, you can steam, bake, fry or poach fish. It's great raw in the form of sashimi, anchovies, carpaccio and gravlax. But there have been conflicting health messages around the benefits of eating fish.
art.sushi.gi.jpg

Long regarded as low in fat and high in "good fats," the health benefits have been overwhelmed by concerns about the environmental problems caused by over-fishing and health risks caused by pollutants.

But last October the Harvard School of Public Health reviewed existing studies that looked at the health effects of eating fish — and the jury's come back in favor of… eating fish!

The Harvard study recommended eating up to two portions of fish a week and that eating fish could cut the risk of death from heart disease by a third. The evidence across different studies showed that fish consumption lowers the risk of death from heart disease by 36 per cent.

The oils in some fish appear to reduce the blood from clotting by reducing the stickiness of the blood. The most beneficial fish in this context is oily fish such as salmon or mackerel. The researchers also suggested that eating that amount of fish or fish oil intake reduces total mortality by 17 per cent.

OTHER BENEFITS

Studies have shown that fish alleviates a range of ailments.

Prostate cancer: A Swedish study of 6000 men over 30 years show that men who did not eat fish between double and trebled the risk of developing prostate cancer compared to those that did. Fish also contains selenium, thought to have cancer-fighting properties.

Depression: The omega-3 fatty acids contained in fish are believed to raise levels of the brain chemical serotonin, which aids in reducing depression. Skin: Some dermatologists say that a salmon rich diet acts like a facial — smoothing out age lines.

Inflammation: Omega 3 fatty acids, through several mechanisms, regulate your body's inflammation cycle, which prevents and relieves painful conditions like arthritis, prostatitis and cystitis. Fish rich in Omega 3 fatty acids includes, mackerel, trout, herring, sardines, tuna and salmon"

how do you feel about peta?
no clue where you get vegetarian from but um the point was peta = doof's that simple, there making a big deal about eating fish, a super healthy food.
Oh its in vegan no wonder you dorks are having strokes, this was the yahoo suggested category :/ really, maybe they need a Peta is shenanigans category

I am not going to bother reading all of your info. I don't care if fish cures cancer, I feel it is morally wrong to eat it, so I won't. I also won't preach to you, so don't you go preaching to me.

As for PETA, I appreciate someof the work they do, but some of it is ridiculous. I don't think it's really possible for a thinking person to agree with an organization 100% of the time. Overall, I agree with their message. I also agree with To Thine Oneself Be True- they exploit women and that's just not cool with me at all.

When I look it up on the internet it seems only men can get it…

But I have been suffering from a constantly swollen urethra for ages now. I've gotten rid of the thrush..I'm on the candida diet but I keep getting cystitis over and over again and the swelling of my urethra will not go away which I suspect is allowing infection to get into me so easily.

I'm asking to be referred to a urologist but it's taking such a long time and I'm scared of another attack. I was asking on here about recurrent cystitis and a woman said both her and her mother had urethritis and I should get checked for it.

I have no idea what you just asked, but you should probably visit an OB/GYN if you're worried.
