Last Saturday night, my partner and I had really rough sex, although it was really great, I think I’m probably bruised inside and feel like I’ve got symptoms of cystitis. Do you think it could be cystitis or something more? Should I keep taking the sachets of cystitis relief or go and see my doctor?
Through experience I would definitely say that you most likely have cystitis and you need to visit your GP or nurse for some advice on how best to cure this.
Best of luck for the next bout!!! lol

If you’ve never had rough sex before it will be tender and sore for a few days… Always make sure you are fully lubricated to prevent pain in future! Have a soak in the bath with some salt and refrain from sex for a few day to give yourself time to heal…

Hi Sam, if in doubt about anything medical, then the best person to consult is someone from the medical profession, whether it be at a clinic, or your actual doctor’s surgery.
Hope this helps,

Lucky you – It sounds quite normal to me, just enjoy it whilst you can.
But give it a rest for your tenderness to heal. Cystitis used to be called the honeymoon disease simply for that reason.

Time to see your Doctor
Often rough sex, highly perfumed soap, some sports etc will cause tissue damage enough to allow bacteria to get hold and spread, the result is very often Cystitis.
You don’t have to tell your Dr how you got it(!) but take a wee specimen and if you can see it is cloudy, then it is almost certainly an infection and you need antibiotics for it.
I used to have this problem a lot (had some real good sex too!!!) and I was told to pee within a few minutes of sex ending and this seemed to stop my recurrent problems! It washed away bacteria before it got hold, so my Dr said.
