You NEED antibiotics. All of the other over the counter junk PREVENTS a UTI it DOES NOT CURE one! Two different words with two different meanings. Antibiotics are the only thing that will CURE an infection. That is why everyone is so keen to jump into antibiotics. If you don't, the UTI WILL turn into something more serious eventually. Personally, I would rather get it treated now when I feel ok, then a week from now when I have a kidney infection and have a fever of 102 and throwing up sick. Your call though. However, you will eventually need the antibiotics or you will end up in the hospital. edit: an antibiotic CANNOT give you a UTI.
