ali,

i am so sorry you have to deal with this. I went through EXACTLY the same thing. 3 tips

1. keep with the cranberry juice...but actualy juice not tablets!
2. do go to the toilet after sex
3. use a condom (this is the only thing that helps for me vastly)

if it keep persisting as it did for my friend you will need to go to the drs and the last option is to have your (dont know the technical term) tube between your bladder widened to decrease the risk of yeast build up. its not a nice operation but it does work, my friend is living proof. also someone mentioned the pill?? probably worth speaking to your dr also.

good luck, and as annoying as it is..condoms are the best way without having an operation!
References :
I would ask your boyfriend to get checked for a possible prostate infection, he may be the cause of your infections. Cranberry capsules contain Sugar, this is bad news, infections love sugar and only get worse. The active ingredient in cranberry that inhibits infection is D-Mannose. Look for a D-Mannose supplement. Have a Merry Christmas.
References :
It sounds like you may have a hormonal form of cystitis that is triggered when you have intercourse, mention it to your doc, there are forms of birth control that can help with this
References :
If you have an infection at the moment it would be in your best interest to go to the doctor and get antibiotics.

After it's cleared up you should try to avoid it by going to the bathroom immediately before and after having sex. Also drink lots of water and empty your bladder regularly during the day, even if it's not completely full. You can also drink alkalizing agents like Citro-Soda to prevent further infections.

You and your partner should also go to the doctor to check for STI's, there are some that doesn't have symptoms in men, but can give symptoms in women. And don't think that your partner is unfaithfull, you can pick these up from toilets and towels.
