Do I have urinary tract infection?
Hello, I am a 17 year old male (18 in 2 weeks), and I have been experiencing just one of many possible symptoms of Urinary Tract Infection. After urinating, I often have the urge to "finish" or complete urinating as if I have not already. The amounts of urination passed are small when I do this. I have no pain or burning in my bladder or urethra, nor do I have any of the symptoms that are often acquired once the infection reaches the kidney (I am a pre-medical student so I am familiar with the symptoms from my own studies). I just want to get the opinion from someone who has once before endured a UTI. Thank you.
I had this a few weeks ago as in the urge to go at the end of the flow. Just go to the doc’s and im sure there will be a easy way to clear it up. Mine was just a 5 day course of taking 4 nitrofuratoin antibiotics a day. I forgot the medical name my doctor told me it was but i know it began with an S. Good luck and happy 18th for 2 weeks time.

You are correct that urgency and oliguria are both s/s of a UTI and that you are missing other symptoms. I would suggest that you see your doctor and have a UA and culture done before jumping to any conclusions. Self-diagnosis is not the answer here, nor is getting information from UAPs.
