I am not in pain, but can feel the slght burn in the end of my urethra when urinating, in addition I am leaking a very small amount of urine. The UTI seems in early stages.

Obviously I am not registered with a doctor here. Where do I go for treatment?

I notice CVS do a clinic, but their website says they only treat women for UTIs. I may have misunderstood. Please let me know!

Do I just call a doctor and ask for an appointment?

Is this something a pharmacy can handle here?

Oh and the gotcha: I am petrifed of needles. This isn’t a problem in the UK where my doctor accomodates by using urine/symptoms to diagnose me. Will this be an issue here

Call and ask the clinic at CVS and see if they will treat you. You could also ask at the hotel/motel you’re staying at for recommendations. Walmart also has clinics in some locations. If you can’t find any clinic, I’d then go to the Emergency room at the nearest hospital. Nearly all hospitals have Emergency rooms/clinics of some type and they certainly should be able to help you. Pharmacies can’t dispense medication that would work without a doctor’s script.

In most cases, doctors here in the US diagnose UTIs the same way. I’ve had a couple myself and not had any needles show up but are just given oral medications. I would let who ever you see know that you have issues with needles; just to be one step ahead. It’s always better to be up front with an issue.
